Oops...we lied!

This was taken from the Conservative Manifesto which is still available online. All about respecting people's privacy and curtailing electronic surveillance.

The Telegraph technology section just published an article called Every Email and Website to be Stored, an oh so familiar sounding headline from the long heady days of the Labour government. Does this go some way to showing that it really isn't important who is in power - the agenda continues.

The plans were shelved by the Labour Government last December but the Home Office is now ready to revive them.

It comes despite the Coalition Agreement promised to "end the storage of internet and email records without good reason".
